LP|Youth Engage Camp 2024

Engage Camp is open to all students completing grades 6 through 12 this summer! Find out more information and how to register below!
What is Engage Camp?

Engage Camp is an opportunity for students to step away from the business of life and focus on the One who created them. The goal of Engage Camp is to engage students so they can discover who they are by discovering a deeper relationship with God. They aim to engage students in activities throughout the week that helps them to grow in their understanding of God and their purpose, for their own good and for the good of those around them! Students are engaged in sermons, games, small group discussions, and a variety of opportunities to step away from life and focus on their relationship with God.

When is Engage Camp?

Engage Camp will be Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. Parents will be asked to drop off their students on Monday morning at LifePoint Church. We will take a bus to camp and stay throughout the week. On Friday afternoon we will return to the church for pick-up. Times for drop off and pick up will be announced in July.

Where is Engage Camp?

This summer, Engage is returning to Word of Life in Pottersville, NY. Last year we had such a great time and the facilities and opportunities were amazing. We can’t wait to return!

How much will Engage Camp cost?

The cost per camper this summer is $365. We know this is an investment in your student’s faith journey. If you have questions or concerns about the cost, please reach out to us to discuss options. We don’t want cost to stand in the way of your student joining us.

Are there new policies or procedures I should be aware of?

We are so excited to return to  Word of Life, which comes with many great opportunities as they run student camps throughout the summer! There are two important policies/procedures that we want all parents to be aware of.

First, medication will all be handled by the Word of Life health team. When you register your student you will be asked for information about all medications, both prescription and over the counter. At drop off, students will turn in ALL medication and it will be handled by the Word of Life staff, to ensure students are receiving what they need on schedule and under the supervision of a medical staff member.

Second, Word of Life has a no-cell-phone policy for all campers. In order to fully embrace the camp message and engage with others, students will not be allowed to have their cell phones from the time we arrive at Word of Life until the day we leave. We fully believe this will be an opportunity for students to set aside the outside world and focus on God and the community we will be a part of for the week. Parents, I know this may seem overwhelming in a world where you can typically get your child at any moment. Our prayer is you feel confident in trusting us with your child for the week. All LP|Youth leaders will have their phones on them at all times, should a parent want to get in touch with their student or a student want to call home. Parents will be given all leaders phone numbers prior to departing. In addition there will be emergency contact numbers from Engage and Word of Life for parents. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please reach out.
