Wow, the sermon on Sunday

was an amazing message about moving forward in faith. If you missed it, click here to watch it. No matter where you are in your walk with Christ, you need to move forward in faith.

Faith is a funny thing; you can’t see it, you can’t feel it, you can’t hear it, but it is so powerful. As Pastor Kevin said, everything is a result of our faith. But faith placed in the God of the universe, who, by His word, spoke everything into existence, gives you LIFE! If you haven’t placed your faith in Jesus Christ yet, let me invite you to do that right now, and if that is you, email me at [email protected].

So, let’s talk about moving forward. No, I’m not going to give you sermon #2, that will come Sunday (and I’m sure it will be great). I want to talk about one of the most conceptually simple, yet powerfully impactful ways to move forward in your faith. That is connecting, in a meaningful way, with other believers. That is why we believe LifeGroups are such a vital area of ministry for our church.

“That together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 15:6

I said this last year, that “Life is better together” is not some uniquely crafted marketing phrase. It is the trueness of God’s calling in our lives to be connected and growing together. Together, we hear God’s word of hope! Together, we pray and know that our prayers are heard! Together, we celebrate our Savior’s goodness, receiving His forgiveness. And together, we walk with one another in the ups and downs encouraging one another.

“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
– 2 Corinthians 13:11

We are never going to agree on everything all the time and there will be times where it is hard to even get along. But together is how God designed us to work through our differences and uniqueness, because He loves us and calls us to unity with one another.

We are getting ready to kick off our Winter Semester of LifeGroups this coming week and we are excited to see how God will use this to draw us closer to one another. For those of you who are plugged into a LifeGroup, let me encourage you to continue in your commitment to one another. To love one another and share life with one another.

And, if you have not yet connected with a LifeGroup, let me encourage you to take that step and move forward in your faith. Connect with others, grow together, and in your relationship with Christ. LifeGroups are filled with people just like you, imperfect people who want, who need, to connect and grow together.

What are you waiting for? Right now, click here and find a group that you can connect with. I know that step, no matter how hard it is for you to take, will be a huge encouragement to your life.

Remember, we are better together! Jesus loves you and He gave you people to share life with who love you, too!
